CURRENT ITEMS OF INTEREST:
Applicants for summer 2010: The HS/ECE office is currently taking counselor appointments to start the application / status approval process for the upcoming summer 2010 LVN class (VN001). Appointment days/times are not negotiable and you will be offered the first available time on the counselor's schedule. You must bring official (sealed) transcripts for all college work other than COD along with either your original high school diploma / GED certificate ( not copies) or official transcript/s of completed high school / GED education to your appointment. Please contact the HS/ECE office to make appointments.
Current Nursing Students: Please check Blackboard and your instructor's web page for ongoing information and updates concerning class supplements, handouts, and announcements.
STUDENT ID CARD PAYMENT/PICKUP INFORMATION:
Nursing student ID Cards will be available at the ASCOD office according to the following schedule:
o January 20th: N001, N003A, enrolled transfer students, and all returning and enrolled reentry students must pick up this date while here for Orientation.
o February 1st: N002, N004A, VN003 may pick up on or after this date.
Please note the ASCOD office staff will be strictly adhering to this schedule. Please contact the HS/ECE Division office if you have questions.
Prospective Applicants: Please note HS 067, Intro Med/Dosage Calculations, will not likely be offered during the upcoming summer 2010. It is important that you plan to complete this VN002 prerequisite course no later than spring 2010 or you will not be able to progress from VN001 to VN002. Please attend a group counseling session for more information and to help you plan ahead.

Applicants are advised to not submit official transcripts to this division unless you are submitting an application packet. Official transcripts received separate from an application packet will not be retained by the division (they will be shredded). Please call if you have questions regarding this requirement.
VN INFORMATION SESSIONS: (Group information sessions are offered periodically throughout the year which provide an overview of the VN program and a 'question and answer' time. (Session availability is contingent upon nursing advisor availability.)
