College of the Desert is a 2- year community college that offers 14 sports that participate in the Foothill Athletic Conference.  For women, we offer basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball.  For men, we offer baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis and football.  Our football team competes under the Southern California Football Association (SCFA) within the Central East Conference.   Our athletic programs are sanctioned through the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA), and are governed by the Commission on Athletics (COA).   

We are very proud of our athletic and academic programs and believe that both play a significant role in a student's total educational experience.

Our success correlates directly with the quality of those who attend COD.
