Head Coach for COD's Women's Softball Thomas Armstrong shares great news about a former player.
COD softball player Christa Blaquiere just pitched a complete game victory in the Western Canadian Championships.

Christa played with the Roadrunners this past season and was an Honorable Mention All-Conference Foothill performer. She is also a tremendous student who carries a 3.75 GPA and will be attending Augsburgh University in Minneapolis, MN this coming fall on scholarship where she is expected to make an immediate impact with their softball program.
After completing her season with the Roadrunners, she returned home and joined her local travel ball team in Edam Canada. After battling all season her team earned the right to advance to the Western Canadian Championships with the two top teams from British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan.
Yesterday afternoon, Christa walked off the field with a Western Canadian Softball Championship Gold Medal as she led her team in a complete game victory pitching in the Championship Match!
This is no small accomplishment as the Westerns (as they call it in Canada) are the pinnacle of softball tournaments in Canada!
Congratulations Christa!!!!
