BSI Objective # 4.

 

In spring 2010, the BSI Research Task Force, working with the COD Office of Institutional Research (OIR), will begin implementing the BSI research agenda defined in Objective #1.

 

Strategy 1:       The Student Success Tool Kit (SSTK) will be developed as an on-line assessment and plans will be made for developing a system of tracking students use of various support services across the campus.

Who:    The OIR and/or an outside contractor in collaboration with the BSI Research Task Force

When:  December 2009

Strategy 2:       SSTK administered to a statistically significant cross section of COD Students.

Who:    Student Services and the OIR in collaboration with the BSI Research Task Force

When:  Spring 2010

Strategy 3:       Base line data as defined in Objective #1 will be assembled into an accessible data base.

Who:    The OIR and/or an outside contractor in collaboration with the BSI Research Task Force

When:  February 2010

Strategy 4:       A process for on-going longitudinal research will be implemented.

Who:    The OIR and/or an outside contractor in collaboration with the BSI Research Task Force.

When: April 2010

Strategy 5:       Access to these data will be made available through a selection of standardized reports and a process for requesting customized reports.

Who:    The OIR and/or an outside contractor in collaboration with the BSI Research Task Force

When: April 2010

Evaluation:      Baseline data and standardized reports including affective, practical and academic data on COD Students will be presented to the Academic Senate.  A written procedure for requesting customized reports from these data will be presented to the Academic Senate and made available to the College.
