College of the Desert's Basic Skills Initiative (BSI) is committed to providing a highly coordinated environment which integrates instruction and student services to facilitate the continued development of reading, writing, mathematical, and ESL skills.  BSI places a high priority on teaching and learning relationships, which enable our students to meet their educational and employment goals.
