Institution Set Standards

College of the Desert has established standards of success with respect to student achievement in relation to the institution’s mission as required by accreditation standards. These standards set expectations for course completion, licensing examination passage rates, and job placement rates. We must also set standards of student performance for other indicators pertinent to our mission, e.g., student persistence from term to term, degree and certificate completion, and transfer rates. The End User Data Subcommittee, a subcommittee of the College Planning Council, gathers data on these standards, evaluates the usefulness of different data sources, analyzes the results, and recommends changes or improvements to the College Planning Council.
