COD Adjunct Faculty Dan Waddell (pictured right, with Bill Marx, left) and friends will perform on April 5:

Jazz Standards II by Dan Waddell, Piano, assisted by Todd Humphrey on Bass, Doug Dean on Drums and special guest Pianist Bill Marx.

The concert is Saturday, April 5 at 7 p.m. on COD's Palm Desert campus in the Pollock Theatre. All proceeds benefit the COD Performing Arts Program. Tickets at the door are $10.

The program includes:  Harlem Blues (1969) (traditional/Phineas Newborn, Jr.) (1931-1989); How High the Moon (1940) Morgan Lewis (1906-1968); Moonlight in Vermont (1944) John Blackburn and Karl Suessdorf; Bill Marx - TBA; Bridge Over Troubled Waters (1969) Paul Simon (b. 1941); They Can’t Take That Away From Me (1937) George Gershwin (1898-1937); Georgia on My Mind (1930) Hoagy Carmichael (1899-1981); and Love Is Called What….  Dan Waddell (1942).

Scott Beaty will hold his 21st Anniversary Concert, Music from the Heart at 
the McCallum Theatre on April 6 at 7 p.m.  Presidential pianist and vocalist,
J. Scott Beaty, celebrates his 21st Anniversary performing at the McCallum Theatre with a 'solid-gold' repertoire filled with a versatile blend of light classical hits, Broadway medleys, as well as standard favorites and some special surprises.
