The ECE student club attended the Healthy Families Event on October 2nd in Indian Wells. Many students came out to support families. Our booth had face-painting and art activities for the children. Everyone had a really fun time. Can’t wait until next year.
Imelda, Paulina and Theresa were superstars at the CTE Expo on October 12. These three were prepared and ready to help the hundreds (literally) of high school juniors and seniors learn about Early Childhood Education. Theresa and Paulina probably did not need me or Imelda there, they were professional, polished, knowledgeable and friendly to everyone who approached the booth.
I was only needed a few times for questions about transfer and ROP. Imelda, with her impeccable Spanish was more help than you can imagine. Theresa and Paulina drew the young men to the table where they promptly shared the “Men in Child Care” brochure. We are so fortunate to have such enthusiastic and wonderful students in this program.
A huge thank you to the new leadership in our ECE Club! You are all assets not only to the program, but also to the college community. ~Donna G.
