College of the Desert Partnership and Community Education (PaCE) provides Security Guard Training.

                                                                                                                     This 24-Hour Security Guard skills training course follows the AB-2880 prescribed standards, which meets the registration requirements of the State of California, Bureau of Security and Investigattive Services. To complete the registration process, applicants must also:

• Be at least 18 years old

• Undergo a criminal history background check through the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) 

Classes are scheduled based on demand at the COD/PaCE (Partnership and Community Education) center located at the Westfield Shopping Mall in Palm Desert, CA.  The mall is located at 72-840 Hwy 111, Palm Desert, CA.  The entrance to PaCE is located on the north side of the mall, west of the movie theatres.
