Valley Round-Up – COD Men Win Twice The Desert Sun Newspaper Written by Staff reports   Palm Desert — The College of the Desert men's basketball team advanced to the finals of the Embassy Suites Palm Desert tournament with a 75-70 victory over Imperial Valley.   Chaz Pio led the Roadrunners with 14 points, while brother Quynten Pio scored 13. Each hit a 3-pointer in the final two minutes to seal the victory.   COD also beat Long Beach City 82-78 on Thursday. Anthony Gilchrist led with 24 points, while Jarrett Kinsey added 22 points.   The Roadrunners host Arizona Western in the championship game at 5 p.m. today at the College of the Desert gymnasium.
