• Completion of High School Diploma or GED
  
  
• Be EOPS Eligible [http://collegeofthedesert.edu/students/eops/Pages/elig.aspx]
  
  
• Eligible for Financial Aid
  
  You must complete a financial aid application (FAFSA-Free Application for Federal Student Aid) prior to applying for the CARE program. Once you receive this information you are to determine if any changes are needed and follow the instructions on your form. We can not determine eligibility without your having filed out this application.
  
  
• Must be currently receiving Cash Aid (TANF/CalWORKs)
  
  
• Must provide most current Notice of Action
  
  
• Have less than 70 degree applicable units completed.
  
  
• Be a full-time student
  Full-time status is 12 units or more. If you need assistance with your schedule prior to coming into our program, please come in and speak with a counselor.
  
  
• At least 18 years of age and a single head of household.
  
  
• Have at least one dependent child under the age of 14 years
