ACADEMIC COUNSELING & EDUCATIONAL SERVICES (ACES)
The ACES Program at College of the Desert is a counseling and college transfer assistance program designed to assist students in meeting the challenges of graduating from COD and transferring to a four-year university of your choice. ACES, a Student Support Services TRiO Program is federally funded under the U.S. Department of Education. The program is designed to support participants in meeting the challenges of graduating from College of the Desert and transferring to a four-year university. ACES emphasizes academic, career, personal and transfer counseling, and educational services to help students meet their goals.
ACES Mission Statement
"To assist the first generation, low-income student in the graduation and transfer process from College of the Desert and to strenghten their preparation for the successful completion of the Bachelor's Degree goal."

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.
-
First Generation College Student
-
Low-Income (Meet Federal Income Guidelines)

Freshman Status (30 transferable units or less)
-
Enrolled full-time (12 units minimum)
*Disabled Students who are not already participating in the Disabled Students Programs and Services (DSPS) at COD, may be eligible to receive services without meeting other eligibility criteria.
