ACADEMIC COUNSELING & EDUCATIONAL SERVICES (ACES)
The ACES Program at College of the Desert is a counseling and college transfer assistance program designed to assist students in meeting the challenges of graduating from COD and transferring to a four-year university of your choice. ACES, a Student Support Services TRiO Program is federally funded under the U.S. Department of Education. The program is designed to support participants in meeting the challenges of graduating from College of the Desert and transferring to a four-year university. ACES emphasizes academic, career, personal and transfer counseling, and educational services to help students meet their goals.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.
- First Generation College Student
- Low-Income (Meet Federal Income Guidelines)
- Must plan to earn an AA degree or Certificate and declare a plan transfer to a four year college or university.
- Grade Point Average (current semester and cummulative) 2.0 or higher
- Academic Standing (30 to 35 transferable units max.)
- Enrolled full-time (12 units minimum) every semester
*Disabled Students who are already participating in the Disabled Students Programs and Services (DSPS) at COD, may be eligible to receive services without meeting other eligibility criteria.
