The Associate Degree and/or Certificate of Proficiency are not automatically awarded when a student completes requirements.  All transcripts from other colleges must be on file in the Admissions Office PRIOR to filing a Request for Evaluation.  The student must file a Request for Evaluation with the Admissions and Records Office during the first eight weeks of the semester PRECEDING the semester in which requirements will be fulfilled.

  • Please submit your request after completing 30 units: at least 12 must be COD units but those units can be in progress.
  • Submitting requests by the deadlines will ensure you are prepared to register for needed classes and provide degree completion updates.
  • Evaluation requests submitted after deadlines, or submitted in the months of December, January, February, and May could take up to 20 working days to process due to peak registration and activities.
  • At least 6 units must be completed or in progress for a Certificate Evaluation.

International transcripts must be evaluated by an official international evaluating company.  The official sealed evaluations must be submitted to the Admissions Office PRIOR to submitting a request for an evaluation..  Click here for a list of evaluating companies.

Graduation Requirements
Each student is responsible for meeting, in full, the requirements for graduation as set forth in the college catalog. The counseling/advisement service assists each student in planning their program(s) of study, but the final responsibility for meeting requirements rests with the student.
