What are Career Assessments:
Strong Interest Inventory matches your interests to career themes and specific job titles. You receive a computerized printout of your personal assessment. The assessment fee is $12, but may be waived if you are on Financial Aid. Once you have taken the Strong Assessment Online, you must attend one of the Strong Interpretation Workshops, at no additional cost, to receive your interpretation and computerized printout.
Myers Briggs Type Indicator matches your temperament and personality factors to career fields. This is the most widely used assessment in the community college system. The online assessment fee is $15, but may be waived if you are on Financial Aid.
Workshop Leaders: Eve-Marie Andrews, Career Center Coordinator.
COME BY THE CAREER CENTER OR CALL 862-1351.
To take one or more of the assessments, you need to go through a four-step process, which includes the following:
- See Margo Capuano in the Career Center.
- Take the Career Assessment Payment (or Waiver) Sheet to Admissions and Records.
- Bring back to Margo the Payment/Waiver Sheet and she will give you the online instructions.
- At this time, you should also sign up for one of the Career Assessment Interpretation Workshops. There you will receive a computerized list of careers that you will most likely find rewarding.
Thank you.
