The Grants Resource & Development (GRD) Office has been created to coordinate the grant writing efforts at College of the Desert. Our mission is to provide a means of communication and expertise that focuses COD's resources in a unified system to obtain funding.

The GRD Office is the "First Stop" for staff and faculty members who are interested in applying for a grant. Please email us as soon as you decide to pursue a funding source.

We are also the "First Stop" to:

  • Clarify & Develop Project Concepts
  • Locate Funding Sources
  • Train Faculty & Staff How To Research & Identify Potential Funding Sources
  • Assist With The Preparation & Development of Budgets
  • "Coach" Faculty and Staff During the Grant Preparation & Submittal Process

The GRD Office:

  • Serves as Liaison Between Faculty/Staff & the Established Approval Process
  • Conducts Workshops (by request) in Project Development, Grant Writing, and Funding Acquisition
  • Serves as a central "Clearinghouse" of Research and Information Pertaining to Grants
  • Fosters Collaboration Across Disciplines
