Associated Students of College of the Desert
In keeping with the philosophy of College of the Desert, the responsibility for student government is placed with the students. Regularly enrolled students of the college are encouraged to be participating members of ASCOD the Associated Students of College of the Desert. ASCOD general meetings are held on Mondays at 2:00PM in the HILB Student Center Conference Room. Weekly agendas are posted outside the Student Trustees Office, the ASCOD Office, and Student Activities.
College of the Desert supports an active ASCOD organization. One student from campus is elected each year to serve as Student Trustee and to represent the general student population at the regular meetings of the Board of Trustees. Other students are elected to the ASCOD Executive Council and still others are appointed as Club Senators, Senators at Large and members of Student Commissions. ASCOD has adopted a constitution incorporating rules and regulations which provide for a governing body that reflects the interests of the entire student population.
