COD Bookstore Gift Cards are now available for Fall 2018!

VETERANS BOOK PROJECT (VBP)

The Veterans Book Project is a Book Loan & Gift Card Program

COD Bookstore Gift Cards

COD Bookstore Gift Cards are limited and are only available to veterans who are attending classes at College of the Desert.
  • Gift Cards can be used to purchase your textbooks and course related items at the College of the Desert Bookstore only.

  • Applications will not be accepted after the last day to add a class in the fall or spring semester.

  • Applications are available at the link below, at the Veterans Resource Center (VRC) or at TRiO Veterans Services.

    • All applications are to be dropped off to Tony Clerc at TRiO Veterans Services or to Donni Prince at the VRC.

  • Chapter 31 (Vocational Rehabilitation) students are not eligible to participate.

  • Dishonorably discharged veterans are not eligible to participate.

  • The decision to grant the COD Bookstore Gift Cards will be determined by the Veterans Book Project Committee. Individuals selected will be notified by email or phone.

  • Be aware that it would be strongly appreciated if a textbook purchased with the gift card be donated to the veterans book loan program located in TRiO Veterans Services or given to Donni Prince at the VRC.

Book Loan

Some of the veterans donate their books for other student veterans to use for their classes. If your class requires a textbook, please come by our office (South Annex 10) and check out what is available.

  • Books can be loaned to you but you must bring them back to the TRiO SSS Veterans Offices (South Annex 10) at the end of the semester so that another veteran may use it for his/her class.

For any questions regarding the Veterans Book Project, please contact Tony Clerc at 760-674-7805 aclerc@collegeofthedesert.edu or Donni Prince at 760-773-2536 dprince@collegeofthedesert.edu

This program is only made possible through the generous donations of the Joseph Drown Foundation
