New facilities at College of the Desert have created a softball player's utopia in Southern California.  The great weather supplies you as a player with a perfect environment to improve and enjoy your game.  The new stadium offers an all grass infield that is as well kept as any putting green in our valley, the golf capital of the world.   The Roadrunners are coming off a very successful 2011 campaign in which the team finished 23-13.  COD is strongly committed to supporting academic and athletic success.  The college has demonstrated its support of the softball program with recent facility improvements; including the construction of the one the finest softball fields in the state, new bullpens, a new batting cage, and the renovation of a second field located on campus.  Roadrunner softball is committed to excellence with one overriding team goal; securing a scholarship at the four-year level!
