NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars
Looking for an opportunity to learn more about space? College of the Desert invites
you to be a part of the NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS), a FREE five-week
long online class that will cover topics like the International Space Station, our
solar system and future missions to Mars. The class will begin on May 29 and will
conclude on July 3.
Upon a successful completion of the course, qualifying students will be invited to participate to an onsite week-long event in August, which will include a field trip, guest speakers and a robotics competition at College of the Desert. During this event, students will have the chance to create their own robot using Lego Mindstorms and have it compete with other groups at the College.
