Visions, A Gathering of Elders at the Marks Art Center

College of the Desert is proud to announce Visions: A Gathering of Elders, a new exhibition that focuses on the extraordinary artworks and creative talents from a group of special Southern California seniors, on display March 2 through March 26, 2020.

With the diverse and exceptional visions of nearly fifty artists, the exhibit boasts 68 wide ranging pieces, including watercolors, paintings, prints, photographs, sculptures, textiles, and more. From the small intimate objects to huge wall pieces, from abstract brushstrokes to realist lines, from monochromatic images to widely expressive rainbows of colors, these art objects will overwhelm the audience with an array of visual stimuli.

The seniors of the Coachella Valley are a hotbed of untapped artistic endowments and the Marks Art Center is extremely pleased to bring forth their amazing voices. Please join us in seeing the visions of an inventive group of elders, celebrating their eclectic stories, and sharing some of their lived experiences visualized.
