NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars ApplicationsNASA has extended the application period for the NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS) program and it will consider a second round of applicants!

For the second year, College of the Desert in collaboration with NASA will be hosting the NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS) program. This opportunity is open to all COD students from all majors, U.S. citizens, Residents, DACA, or undocumented students. Everyone is welcome to apply.

The NCAS program is free and consists of two phases:

Phase I consists of a five-week online class that will take place in the months of January/February.

This class will consist of learning about different NASA space missions, Astrobiology, the International Space Station among other topics.

Phase II consists of a robotics competition. Here you will build and program a rover to do different tasks (No previous experience necessary!! You will learn everything you need along the course).

The date for Phase II is yet to be determined.

NASA is looking for an array of majors beyond the traditional STEM majors, so all students are welcome to apply.
