2023 NASA NCAS Program

For the fourth year, College of the Desert in collaboration with NASA, will be hosting the NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS) program! This opportunity is open to all U.S. citizens and COD students from all majors.

The NCAS program is FREE and consists of two phases:

Phase I consists of a five-week online class that will take place in January/February. The class will consist of learning about different NASA missions, astrobiology and the International Space Station, among other topics.

Phase II consists of a robotics competition in which students will build and program a rover to do different tasks. No previous experience or background knowledge is necessary to participate. Students will learn everything they need to know throughout the course. Please note that the dates for this phase are still being worked out.
