If you have completed your FAFSA or Dream Act application for this academic year, you may be eligible to use your Pell grant, Cal Grant or scholarship funds to pay for your campus meal plan.
To do so, you will need to sign and submit the authorization form for financial aid authorizing College of the Desert to use your funds to pay for your campus meal plan.
Your meal plan will be activated as soon as you are approved, and the funds will be deducted from your next financial aid disbursement. You will be notified if you are eligible under this option.
Once your authorization form has been processed, your student ID card will be the official way to pay for your campus meal plan. You will swipe your COD student identification to purchase your campus meal. With each transaction, you will know your remaining balance from your original amount of purchase.
Please submit the authorization form for financial aid at any Office of Financial Aid location (Palm Desert, Indio, or Mecca/Thermal).
