Auditions Available for "Man of La Mancha"
College of the Desert is proud to present the Spring 2023 musical Man of La Mancha by Dale Wasserman, music by Mitch Leigh, and lyrics by Joe Darion.
The College's Music and Theater departments will hold auditions for the upcoming spring semester production on November 28 and November 29 from 6 to 9 p.m. and November 30 from 6 to 10 p.m. inside Theatre Too at the Palm Desert campus.
Those interested in auditioning are asked to bring sheet music in the appropriate key. A pianist will be present during auditions as well. Please note that all roles are open. If cast, you will need to enroll in MUS 086 or TA 096 and MUS 092.Rehearsals begin 1/30/2023.

Performances for Man of La Mancha will take place at the McCallum Theatre on Friday, May 5 through Sunday, May 7.

Inspired by Miguel de Cervantes’ seventeenth-century masterpiece Don Quixote, Man of La Mancha is one of the most successful musicals in Broadway history. Powerful, brutal, hilarious, and heartbreaking, Man of La Mancha celebrates the perseverance of a dying old man who refuses to relinquish his ideals or his passion. The celebrated score includes The Impossible Dream, I, Don Quixote, Dulcinea, I Really Like Him, Little Bird, and To Each His Dulcinea.
