Foreign Languages

College of the Desert has programs for learning different foreign languages. You can study languages like Spanish, French, German, Japanese, and American Sign Language. These programs help you learn to understand, speak, read, and write in a new language, and also teach you about the cultures where those languages are spoken. They can help you get ready to transfer to a four-year college or even prepare you for jobs that need language skills, like translating.
