Basic Fire Fighter Academy
College of the Desert has a program called the Basic Fire Fighter Academy. This program teaches students how to safely put out fires, rescue people, and handle dangerous materials. Students learn important skills like using firefighting tools and understanding how fires behave. Finishing this program helps students get ready for entry-level jobs as firefighters and earn a certificate from the State Fire Marshal.
