Module III Regular Basic Course Modular Format

COD Course Code:
BPOT-001    7.0 Units​

Requirements:

• Minimum age to enter the BPOT Academy is 18
• Must be an admitted and registered College of the Desert student
• Student must possess a DOJ Firearms Clearance Letter prior to the first day of the academy
• Be free of any felony convictions or legal mandates that restrict or prohibit employment as a law enforcement officer or the possession of a firearm
• All prospective students are strongly encouraged to attend the Modular Academy Information Session
• Possess a valid California driver’s license
• All students must complete a health questionnaire, and if necessary, obtain a medical clearance
• Students should be in good physical condition
• Students must attain a passing grade for advancement to Module II​​​

Note:
Module III Testing:
Since the Fall semester of 2017, Module III POST constructed Learning Domain tests have transitioned into two comprehensive examinations (LD 34 First Aid/CPR and End of Course). In addition, Arrest methods/Defensive Tactics skills testing and Firearms skills testing must be successfully completed​.

Requirements:

• Minimum age to enter the BPOT Academy is 18
• Must be an admitted and registered College of the Desert student
• Student must possess a DOJ Firearms Clearance Letter prior to the first day of the academy (Live scan results)
• Be free of any felony convictions or legal mandates that restrict or prohibit employment as a law enforcement officer or the possession of a firearm
• All prospective students are strongly encouraged to attend the Modular Academy Information Session
• Possess a valid California driver’s license
• All students must complete a health questionnaire, and if necessary, obtain a medical clearance
• Students should be in good physical condition
• Students must attain a passing grade for advancement to Module I
• Module II students must have passed the POST Module III End of Course Proficiency Test within the preceding 12 months​Module II Testing:
