Note:

Strong Workforce WIOA may be able to assist you with the cost of these items, see below:

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Program is designed to support students in vocational programs, such as EMT training, by providing financial assistance for reimbursement. This includes uniforms, equipment, and other program-related costs.

WIOA Support for EMT Students:

  1. Uniforms:

WIOA funds may be used to cover the cost of uniforms required for the EMT program. This can include items like boots and any other specific attire needed for training.

  2. Equipment & Supplies:

WIOA can also cover the cost of essential equipment and supplies related to the program.

  3. Training Materials:

Costs for textbooks, online learning tools, or other required study materials can be covered.

  4. Certification Fees:

In some cases, the funds may assist with certification exam fees or other required tests for licensure.

Deadlines & Application Process:

  • Deadlines:

We recommend that students register for the program as soon as possible, as WIOA can only cover fees after registration. Items purchased before enrollment in the WIOA program will not qualify for reimbursement. Students, make sure to register early to avoid missing key deadlines.
