The COD Library will be closed from July 31, 2026 through August 30, 2026, and will
reopen on August 31, 2026 (first day of the Fall 2026 semester).
The book drop, located next to the front door of the Hilb, will remain open for physical
book returns only. All other items including laptops and Chromebooks must be returned
in person by July 30, 2026.
Please note that our phone lines and chat will not be monitored while the Library
is closed.

Ask a Librarian!
The COD Library offers the "Ask a Librarian" virtual chat service to help COD students
quickly get research help. You can access this service by clicking the "Ask a Librarian"
chat button on this page or anywhere on the Library's website.
During the Library's hours of operation, librarians are available both online and in-person to assist you with finding physical
books, eBooks, articles, and streaming films. They can also provide research support
and citation assistance. If you need a demonstration of searching databases, librarians
can guide you through the process using our chat service's screen-sharing tool. You
can also visit the Reference Librarian's desk at the Palm Desert Campus Library.
