Roadrunner Express

The Roadrunner Express is a free shuttle service that connects students between campuses. The shuttle operates on Monday-Thursday with the exception of holidays. The Roadrunner Express has two routes, the west and east and makes three stops daily. The first bus routes from both the east and the west will arrive at the Palm Desert Campus by 7:50 a.m.

East Route

• 1st Stop - Mecca / Thermal - along the main driveway on the bench
• 2nd Stop - Indio - parking lot behind the main building
• 3rd Stop - Palm Desert - roundabout next to Cravens building

West Route

• 1st Stop - Desert Hot Springs - bus driveway adjacent to education center
• 2nd Stop - Palm Springs - Parking lot 
• 3rd Stop - Palm Desert - roundabout next to Cravens building

College of the Desert’s Haul Pass Program provides enrolled students unlimited reliable and free transportation to school and anywhere they need to go seven days a week.

To use this program you have to download the Token Transit app on the Apple or Google Play stores.

Access Your Free SunBus Pass with Token Transit

What is Token Transit?

Token Transit is the mobile app used by SunLine Transit Agency to provide riders with digital bus passes. College of the Desert students participating in the Haul Pass Program must use the Token Transit app to access and activate their free SunBus passes.

The app offers a convenient way to manage and use your transit pass directly from your mobile device.

How to Access Your Free Bus Pass

Follow the steps below to activate your free SunBus pass through Token Transit:

1. Download the Token Transit app on your mobile device.
2. Create a Token Transit account by completing the app's registration process.
3. Visit the College of the Desert registration page:
   https://tokentransit.com/sunline/collegeofthedesert
4. Register using your @mycod.us student email address.
5. Check your email for a message from SunLine/Token Transit containing your Redeem Code.
6. Open the Token Transit app and select Redeem Code from the settings menu.
7. Enter your Redeem Code.
8. After redeeming the code, select College of the Desert from the Rider dropdown menu to activate your free daily bus passes. 

Bus Pass Eligibility

To receive free bus passes through the Haul Pass Program:

• You must be enrolled in classes during the current semester.
• Bus passes are valid only on the SunLine SunBus transportation system.
• Students are required to re-register their Token Transit account twice each academic year to maintain access: 
  • Summer/Fall 
  • Winter/Spring

Once activated, your digital pass can be used for unlimited rides on SunBus throughout your eligible enrollment period.
