The following are the steps for Dual Enrollment Application and Registration. This is a very specific process and must be followed as outlined below. Any alterations to the process will most likely delay or prevent enrollment. Also, keep in mind that each step listed below requires detailed information to be entered, selected, verified, etc. The CCC Apply Application to obtain a COD ID # takes about 10-15 minutes and to finally obtain a COD ID # can take 1-2 business days. If a student does not have their COD ID# in 24-48 hours, the student and/or the high school staff must contact the COD Dual Enrollment team, as the application is stuck and needs to be manually processed. Please do not wait weeks to reach out to us.
Use the link below to start your CCC Application and get your COD ID#. This step will take about 10 minutes to complete. Please review our detailed guide below on how to fill out the application. There are specific steps and certain drop downs to select.
Please note that if you have applied in the past but not enrolled in any COD courses in the previous 2 semesters, you will need to reapply.
Once you have successfully submitted a CCC application, you will receive emails from CCC apply and COD. Please keep those emails and provide them to your high school support staff when requested.
One important email that students will get is “Confirmation of Successful Application Submission.” This email is generally sent with in a few minutes of submitting an application. This email contains a confirmation number. This is an 8 digit number that starts with a 3. Keep this number. This number is specific to your COD application and is helpful when applications get stuck.
Please make sure to remember your CCC Apply username and password. You can use the forgot username and password link at the site anytime.
If you do not get your COD ID# within 24-48 hours. You need to reach out to us and let your school support staff know as well. This means your Application is stuck and needs to be manually processed. When you reach out to COD and let your school staff know, provide us with your first and last name, Date of Birth and the Confirmation number your received via email from CCC Apply.
Here are sample emails, in the order you will receive them, that you will get from CCC apply and COD:
1. CCC account successfully created
2. Confirmation of successful COD application (has confirmation number)
3. Important COD steps (not really relevant to Dual students)
After you have successfully obtained your COD ID# via email from COD, you then need to create your DualEnroll.com account. This is where you request registration for courses. Dual Enrollment students do not enroll through their MyCOD.
Here is a student friendly guide that walks you through the process.
Ensure you complete all required steps in DualEnroll.com. Also make sure that you get your parents phone number and email address entered correctly as parent consent is required by California law, in order to register. This consent is only needed one time throughout your high school career. So get it done first thing. This is your responsibility.
Please make sure to remember your DualEnroll.com username and password. You can use the forgot username and password link at the site anytime.
Check your email and text messages for messages on items needing your review or a task that needs to be done. This is your responsibility. Check in your DualEnroll.com account as well. The end goal is to see "Complete" in your course Status. This means you are 100% enrolled.
Once you have your DualEnroll.com account setup, you will use this platform each time you want to register for a class. Just enter your username and password. Please follow the directions provided by your school (support staff, teacher, vice principal, etc.) as you do not want to miss the opportunity or enroll in classes you should not be enrolled in.
