Organizations with Support for COD's LGBTQIA+ Students


The Gender and Sexual Diversity Pride Center Team is working to build and strengthen the college's connections to the many organizations that serve and support our local LGBTQIA+ community. What follows is a list that will be continuously added to by our team.

Safe Schools Desert Cities


Safe Schools Desert Cities is an organization that brings together local schools’ Gay Straight Alliances to provide resources and support for LGBTQIA+ students. In addition to hosting a variety of events, the organization has generous financial aid for local LGBTQIA+ students in need.

The LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert


The LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert (The Center) assists LGBTQ people of the local area with a variety of programming and resources. This includes programming for youth and members of the community who live in the East Valley.

Transgender Law Center


The Transgender Law Center (TLC) is a national trans-led organization that provides legal and other resources for the trans community. Programs include Black Trans Circles, Disability Project, and Positively Trans (T+).

PFLAG

Sanctuary Palm Springs


Sanctuary Palm Springs is a transitional Housing Placement Program for Non-Minor Dependents (THPP-NMD) specifically designed to meet the needs of the LGBTQ+ community of foster youth transitioning to adulthood.
