Upward Bound Student Application

We are currently accepting online and paper versions of our Upward Bound application. Interested applicants will need to submit either an online application or a paper application. Please follow and review the steps under the application that you would like to submit.

Online Application Submission

If you would like to submit an online application, please review and complete the following step(s):

Step 1:

Once you have submitted your online application you will receive an email with updates and follow-up steps regarding your application.

Reminder: As part of our application process, ensure that the person the applicant listed as their recommender on their Upward Bound online application completes and submits the Upward Bound online recommendation form they receive from us via email. It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure we receive their recommendation form.

 

Paper Application Submission

If you would like to submit a paper application, please review and complete the following steps: 

Step 1: 

Download and complete a paper Upward Bound application. 

Step 2: 

Gather supporting documents to submit along with your Upward Bound paper application. The applicant will need to provide a copy of

• The applicant's Birth Certificate (if applicable). 
• Most current school grade transcripts
  • If the applicant is currently in 8th grade, a report card for 8th graders will suffice. 
• A signed copy of the applicant's parent(s)'/guardian(s)' most recent federal income taxes

Step 3: 

A recommender is required as part of the Upward Bound's application process. We have two methods that an applicant's recommender can complete a recommendation form in behalf of the applicant. 

• Email or share our Upward Bound online recommendation form link to a teacher, counselor, or school administrator to complete. We will directly receive this form via email and the applicant will not have worry about printing and submitting this form.

OR

• Email or download and print our Upward Bound paper recommendation form. Ask a teacher, counselor, or school administrator to complete. The applicant will need to submit this form as part of their application submission.

Reminder: It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure we receive their completed recommendation form, regardless of the method it will be submitted. 

Step 4

Please email, mail, or fax all application components to our program. A complete submission will include an application (step 1), copies of supporting documents (step 2), completed and submitted recommendation form (step 3).
