Upward Bound Requirements
Upward Bound is a program that is 100% funded by the U.S. Department of Education. It is designed to help you through every step of your high school career and to go on to the college of your choice. If this sounds like a good deal to you, read on!
Minimum Federal Requirements for Upward Bound Applicants
- The student must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent U.S. Resident
- You must attend one of the following high schools:
- Coachella Valley High School
- Desert Hot Springs High School
- Indio High School
- Be a first-generation college student or your family income must fall below the following income guidelines:

| 5 | $58,020 |
| 6 | $66,540 |
| 7 | $75,060 |
