Tutoring

The Tutoring and Academic Skills Center (TASC) provides free tutoring to all currently enrolled COD students. Our peer tutors, who are trained in a CRLA-certified course, can assist you with many COD courses. Our tutors can help you navigate your course content, review lecture materials, and prepare for exams. Our writing tutors can assist with papers and assignments at any stage of the writing process, for any class. All peer tutors can assist you in strengthening your study skills so you can be successful in the class at hand and the classes to follow.

All tutoring at TASC is drop-in. No appointment needed! The TASC staff looks forward to working with you soon.

In-person tutoring is held at the Palm Desert TASC inside the Hilb Building. Language Lab tutors are available on the lower level, and all other tutors are available on the second floor. Tutoring is also held at the Indio TASC at the East Valley Campus in Room 205.

Please note that the tutoring schedules are specific to each location and subject to change. If you would like to verify whether a particular tutor or subject area is available, please call (760) 776-7241.

TASC tutors are here to support your learning online.  There is no need to make an appointment, just click "Join Drop-In Session" during scheduled hours to enter into a tutor's Zoom waiting room.  A tutor will let you into their Zoom session as they finish sessions with other students.
