Alas Con Futuro

Alas is a student club at College of the Desert. Alas facilitates information on financial resources for undocumented students. Alas provides educational presentations throughout the Coachella Valley for AB 540 and first-generation students.

Mission and Goals

Alas Con Futuro is committed to the following:

• Provide moral support and encourage the completion of the educational goals of each member.

• Provide informational access to financial resources for undocumented students.

• Bring awareness​ to the larger community about AB 540, California Dream Act, Deferred Action and the changes to immigration policies in real time.

• Be politically active when issues arise relating to the members of Alas Con Futuro.

• We meet bi-weeky on Thursdays from 12:00pm-1:00pm at the Dreamer Resource Center-Palm Desert campus (South Annex #1).
