CARE Eligibility

• EOPS Eligible - You MUST meet EOPS eligibility in order to be a CARE student. Once students are no longer eligible for EOPS they are also no longer eligible for CARE. 

• Head of Household in a One Parent Assistance Unit
  (as determined by CalWORKs or TANF)

• At Least One (1) Dependent Child

• 18 Years of Age or Older

• Full-time Student
  (Enrolled in 12 or More Units for the Semester of Application)

• Receiving Cash Aid from CalWORKs or TANF
  (Applicant must provide documentation from the agency in the form of a CalWORKs Income Verification Form or a TANF Passport to Services.)
