EOPS Application:

EOPS/CARE Hours are:

Monday-Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Fridays: 8:00am - Noon 

NOTE: EOPS will be CLOSED between Wednesday, December 24, 2025 and Thursday, January 1, 2026 for the Winter Holiday Break. No one will be in the office to assist you during that time. We will reopen on Friday, January 2, 2026 for normal Friday hours. Emails and Voicemails will be returned in the order that they were received starting Monday, January 5, 2026.

Mission:

EOPS (Extended Opportunity Programs and Services) offers "over and above" support services to students with social, economic, and educational challenges with the goal of increasing access, retention, and transfer.

About Us:

EOPS is a state-funded program at College of the Desert that provides educational support services to eligible students who have historically experienced economic and educational disadvantages.  EOPS assists eligible students in obtaining their educational goals by providing additional support through counseling, tutoring, book service, assistance in transferring to a four-year university, and other services.

    • Contingent upon state funding and subject to change with or without notice.
  • Cal State and UC Application Fee Waivers  

Three Steps to Apply for EOPS

  1. Apply for admission to COD.
  2. Apply and receive a California College Promise Grant A, B, or C (with a $0.00 or less Student Aid Index) Enrollment Fee Waiver
  3. Complete an on-line EOPS application during our open application period.
