Most of the forms required by the Financial Aid Office can be completed online (e-forms) through the student's Financial Aid Self-Service Portal. If you cannot find the form online or need help, please email us at FAO@collegeofthedesert.edu or call us at 760-773-2532. Please note, four emails, our turn around time is 2 business days from the date you email our office.
To complete the forms online (e-forms), students need to login to the Financial Aid Self-Service Portal and complete the steps below:
Once in the Self-Service Portal under Financial Aid, click on "Required Documents"
Students can select the link of the needed form, complete and submit the form online. During peak processing please allow at least 10-14 business days for the forms to be marked as received.
Additionally:
Parent signatures are still required for dependent students. As such, the form does not have e-signature as an option, it must be filled out first, then it must be printed, and signed by the parent. Once signed, it can be uploaded through the Financial Aid Self Service Portal (Click Home under the Financial Aid tab, on bottom right under Resources/Forms Links click "upload required documents").
Students can upload IRS Tax Returns, W-2 forms, or other forms needed by clicking on home under the Financial Aid tab and on bottom right under Resources/Forms Links click "upload required documents." If needed, you can request IRS tax forms.
Students still have the option to mail or fax requested documents to the Financial Aid Office.
Please note that you may be requested to provide additional information during the review process. Once you have submitted all of the required forms, the Financial Aid Office can complete the review of your file and award your financial aid. Please allow sufficient time to complete this process. It is recommended that students complete their file by July 1st each year to ensure they receive their financial aid funds with the first disbursement in September and qualify for a bookstore authorization.
