New Student Information

Getting Started

Welcome to College of the Desert! We're excited to support you as you begin or continue your educational journey. Please follow these simple steps to get started:

 

1. Apply to College of the Desert

Submit your online application: - Apply Now

• Please allow up to two business days to receive your COD Student ID Number.
• If you do not receive an email with your Student ID, username, and @mycod.us email address within two business days, contact the Veterans Resource Center and we'll be happy to assist you.

 

2. Complete the Registration Checklist

Once you receive your COD Student ID, complete the steps on the Registration Checklist.

 

3. Meet With a Counselor

After completing the Online Orientation found in the Registration Checklist, contact the Veterans Resource Center at (760) 773-2536 or veterans@collegeofthedesert.edu to schedule your Student Educational Plan (SEP) appointment. Appointments can take place in-person, online, or via phone. 

 

4. Planning to Use VA Education Benefits?

We're here to help! Contact Donni Prince, Veterans Resource Specialist, at dprince@collegeofthedesert.edu for guidance on using your VA education benefits.
