The State of California has enacted a new law affecting students at community colleges.
Assembly Bill 705 requires colleges to maximize the probability that students will
complete transfer-level English and math within one year and English as a second language
within three years.
All students now can enroll in transfer-level English and math.
We recommend that you speak with a counselor before registration. Counselors can provide
a multiple measures review of your preparation for transfer-level work. They can also
inform you about the particular courses that are required to meet your goal.
